My work explores the relationship of place, material and time. I use materials found in specific sites to create mixed media drawings. Natural media, such as handmade inks and pigments, are combined with other tools to make these compositions. The process of finding and gathering materials, working with them, and composing the drawing is all part of the creative act. In this way, the drawings are more than simply representations of a place, but rather a physical record of a particular place and time.
